08079600 Double Mountain Fork Brazos River at Justiceburg, TX
LOCATION - Lat 33°02'18", long 101°11'50" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Garza County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 12050004, on right bank at downstream side of bridge on U.S. Highway 84 at Justiceburg, 250 ft downstream from Panhandle and Santa Fe Railroad bridge, 14.6 river miles upstream from the John T. Montford Lake Alan Henry Dam and at mile 143.4 measured from confluence with Salt Fork Brazos River at mile 923.2 on the Brazos River.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,466 mi² of which 1,222 mi² probably is noncontributing.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Dec 14 2023 to Feb 1 2024 were marked revisited after it found reference readings were in error on Feb 1 visit. Shifting had to be changed for those dates and resulted in a change in discharge greater than allowable. 
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Dec. 1961 to current year. Prior to Oct. 1963, published as "Sand Creek or South Fork Double Mountain Fork Brazos River at Justiceburg".
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 2,222.47 ft above NGVD of 1929. Satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - No known regulation or diversions. No flow at times. Some records listed in the "Period of Record" for surface water and water quality may not be available electronically.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum stages since at least 1895, 25.8 ft in 1914 and 22.2 ft in Sept. l955, from information by local resident. Flood in July 1961 reached a stage of 18.2 ft, from floodmark.
