LOCATION - Lat 33°11'16.5", long 99°57'36.49" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Haskell County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 12050004, on downstream side of bridge on U.S. HWY 380, 3.9 mi. west of Rule, TX, and 10.3 river miles upstream from the confluence of the Double Mountain Fork and Salt Fork of the Brazos River.
DRAINAGE AREA - 9,003 mi² of which 6,932 mi² probably is noncontributing.
REVISIONS HISTORY -

WSP 733: 1927(M). WDR TX-76-2: Drainage area; at gaging station 27 miles upstream (08080500 DMF Brazos River near Aspermont, TX).

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Mar. 2013 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1,500.00 ft above NAVD of 1988. Satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - Since installation of gage, at least 10% of contributing drainage area has been regulated by Lake Alan Henry Reservoir. There are small diversions above station for oil field operations. No flow at times most years.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD PRIOR TO REGULATION - WATER YEARS 1925-1934, 1940-1994: Maximum discharge, 91,400 ft³/s Sept. 26, 1955 (gage height, 29.50 ft) from rating curve extended above 75,900 ft³/s at gaging station 08080500 DMF Brazos River near Aspermont, TX located 27 miles upstream. No flow at times most years.
AVERAGE DISCHARGE FOR PERIOD PRIOR TO REGULATION - 68 years (water years 1925-34, 1940-93) prior to completion of Lake Alan Henry Reservoir, 151 ft³/s (109,600 acre-ft/yr) at gaging station 08080500 DMF Brazos River near Aspermont, TX located 27 miles upstream.
