LOCATION - Lat 32°49'00", long 98°02'30" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Parker County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 12060201, on left bank upstream of left end of dam near boat ramp in Lake Mineral Wells State Park, and 1.0 mi north of U.S. Hwy 180 on east side of Mineral Wells.

GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 0.00 ft above NGVD of 1929 and 0.63 ft below NAVD of 1988. To obtain elevation values in NAVD 1988, add 0.63 ft. Satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - The lake is formed by a rolled earthfill dam 1,760 ft long. There is a 1,145 ft-wide uncontrolled
spillway. The dam was built by the City of Mineral Wells and was completed in 1920. The dam is owned
by the Palo Pinto County Municipal Water District. Water is used for municipal, industrial, and
recreational uses. Data regarding the dam are given in the following table:
