LOCATION - Lat 32°17'20", long 97°24'54" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Johnson County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 12060202, at side of walkway from dam to outlet structure near left end of Cleburne Dam on Nolan river, 2.2 mi upstream from Buffalo Creek, 4.3 mi south of Cleburne, and 21.4 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 100 mi².

PERIOD OF RECORD - Apr. 1965 to Sept. 1985, June 1998 to Sept. 2002 (contents), Oct. 2002 to current year. PERIOD OF RECORD, Water-Quality.-- CHEMICAL DATA: Dec. 1969 to Apr. 1984. BIOCHEMICAL DATA: Dec. 1969 to June 1973. RADIOCHEMICAL DATA: May 1981.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 0 ft above NGVD of 1929 and 0.06 ft above NAVD of 1988. To obtain elevations in NAVD 1988, subtract 0.06 ft. Satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - Some records listed in the "Period of Record" for surface water and water quality may not be available electronically. The lake is formed by a rock-faced earthfill dam 5,050 ft long, including a 150 ft-wide uncontrolled concrete service spillway at left end of dam. A 500 ft-wide spillway is cut in natural ground on the right bank about 400 ft from right end of dam. Storage began Aug. 4, 1964. Lake is the property of the City of Cleburne and was built to impound water for municipal use. Data regarding the dam are given in the following table:
