LOCATION - Lat 30°14'40", long 97°48'07" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Travis County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 12090205, on Loop 360, 0.9 mi west of the intersection of Ben White and Lamar Boulevards, and 4.3 mi southwest of the State Capitol Building in Austin.
DRAINAGE AREA - 116 mi².

Water-stage recorder.  Satellite telemetry at station.

Datum of gage: 511.108 ft NAVD88 based on a Level 2 Static GNSS survey processed through OPUS, Ref Frame: NAD83 (2011)(EPOCH:2010.0000) ITRF2014 (EPOCH:2023.0350) and Geoid18.  The survey was completed January 13, 2023 while occupying USGS BM RM7.

Prior to January 13th, 2023, the datum of the gage was 510.32 ft NGVD29 based off a differential levels survey to a Texas Department of Transportation bench mark.

REMARKS - Records poor. No known regulation or diversions. No flow at times. Some records listed in the "Period of Record" for surface water and water quality may not be available electronically.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - The flood of May 28, 1929, was probably the highest since that date (discharge 39,400 ft³/s), based on a slope-area measurement of peak flow at a site about 2 mi upstream.
