LOCATION - Lat 28°39'43", long 96°57'55" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Victoria County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 12100204, on left bank at DuPont pump station, 1.8 mi upstream from Dalton Bridge, about 10.5 mi west of Bloomington, and at mile 28.2.
DRAINAGE AREA - 5,816 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Feb. 1999 to Sept. 2011 (daily mean gage height), Oct. 2011 to current year (daily mean discharge less than 4,660 ft³/s)
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is NGVD of 1929. Satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - Records fair. Since installation of gage in Feb. 1999, at least 10% of contributing drainage area has been regulated. There are many diversions above station. Some records listed in the "Period of Record" for surface water and water quality may not be available electronically.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of Oct. 20, 1998, reached a gage height of 33.92 ft, from National Weather Service floodmark.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum gage height, 29.01 ft, Aug. 31, 2017; minimum gage height, 6.55 ft, Aug. 4, 2009.
