LOCATION - Lat 29°30'19", long 98°54'11" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Medina County, TX, Hydrologic Unit 12100302, on left bank of canal, 350 ft downstream from county road bridge, 1,900 ft downstream from head of canal and Medina Diversion Dam, 4.6 mi downstream from Medina Dam, 4.7 mi north of Riomedina, and 25.0 mi northwest of San Antonio.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Discharge for the period of 05/30/2019 to 05/21/2020 were revised based on changes to the control. WSP 568: 1922. WSP 1712: 1922(M), 1924, 1926.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Mar. 1922 to May 1934, July 1957 to Sept. 1993, Feb. 2001 to Sept. 30, 2007, Nov 04, 2016 to present.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage 898.792 ft above NAVD 1988. Prior to Nov. 4, 2016 datum of gage 910 ft above NGVD of 1929. Satellite telemeter at station.
REMARKS - Records fair. Station is above all diversions from canal. Canal diverts water from right end of Medina Diversion Dam 1,900 ft upstream from gage. Water is used for irrigation downstream near LaCoste and Natalia. Prior to Nov. 1984, double-barrel flume 54 ft downstream from gage. No flow at times. Some records listed in the "Period of Record" for surface water and water quality may not be available electronically.
