LOCATION - Lat 36°53'03", long 105°16'52" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Taos County, NM, Hydrologic Unit 13020101, in Sangre de Cristo Grant, on left bank 200 ft upstream from road crossing, 1,300 ft upstream from normal high-water line of Costilla Reservoir, 0.6 mi north of Costilla Dam, and 16 mi southeast of Costilla.
DRAINAGE AREA - 2.15 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1923: drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1937 to current year (seasonal records). Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1312 and 1732.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry, Parshall flume, and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 9,492.4 ft above NAVD of 1988, from survey. Prior to June 27, 1940, water-stage recorder and wooden control at datum 0.99 ft lower.
REMARKS - Water Years 2014-2018; records fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Water year 2019; records poor.
