LOCATION - Lat 32°40'21.68", long 104°22'08.29" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.10, T.19 S., R.26 E., Eddy County, NM, Hydrologic Unit 13060011, in left side of channel 360 ft downstream from ford on Lake Road, 1.9 mi downstream from U.S. Highway 285, 2.8 mi north of Lakewood, 3.8 mi upstream from mouth, and 11.5 mi south of Artesia. Mouth at Pecos River mile 490.6.
DRAINAGE AREA - 335 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR NM-68-1: 1967. Drainage area was revised to a more accurate value on Aug. 6, 2020. The peak gage height and streamflow for water year 2019, and gage heights for measurements 121, 122, and 124, were revised on Nov. 30, 2020, based on corrections to the gage datum.

Oct. 1, 1951, to June 19, 1962, at site 1.8 mi upstream at datum 30.61 ft higher. June 19, 1962, to Oct. 12, 1966, at site 410 ft upstream at datum 6.08 ft higher.
