08407500 PECOS RIVER AT RED BLUFF, NM
LOCATION - Lat 32°04'30.69", long 104°02'21.97" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Eddy County, NM, Hydrologic Unit 13060011, on right bank at Red Bluff, 0.2 mi downstream from Red Bluff Draw, 1.6 mi northwest of the El Paso Natural Gas (Pecos River) compressor station, 5.2 mi north of the New Mexico-Texas State line, 5.5 mi upstream from Delaware River, and at mile 411.2. Continuous Water Quality Monitor is located approximately 400 ft downstream from gage.
DRAINAGE AREA - 19,540 mi². (approximate contributing area)
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1937 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 2851.64 ft above NAVD88 as determined by a GNSS Level II rapid-static survey performed by the USGS on June 16, 2020.
REMARKS - Water year 2014; records good except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Water year 2015; records fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor.
