LOCATION - Lat 39°04'48.85", long 106°36'59.70" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Pitkin County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 14010004, in White River National Forest, on right bank 170 ft. below centerline of Grizzly Reservoir Dam, and 13.6 miles southeast of Aspen.
DRAINAGE AREA - 15.1 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1980 to September 1986, and April 2009 to current year. Intermittent discharge records and miscellaneous discharge measurements collected by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation from 1987 to 2008.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry, crest-stage gage, and concrete control. Datum of gage is 10,488.05 ft above NAVD of 1988, from GNSS survey. Prior to Aug. 3, 2021, the elevation of gage was reported as 10,510 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 540 ft³/s, June 12, 2015, gage height, 3.75 ft, from rating curve extended above 181 ft³/s.
