LOCATION - Lat 39°10'48", long 106°48'05" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in T.10 S., R.84 W., Pitkin County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 14010004, on right bank 25 ft upstream from private bridge, 115 ft upstream from Salvation Ditch headgate, 1.0 mi southeast of Aspen, and 2.0 mi upstream from Hunter Creek.
DRAINAGE AREA - 106 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR-US-2011: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1964 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 8,014.01 ft above NGVD of 1929. Prior to Apr. 25, 1968, at site 85 ft upstream, at datum 1.16 ft higher.
REMARKS - Water year 2014; records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2015; records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2016; records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2017; records good except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Records good. Transmountain diversion 14 mi upstream through Twin Lakes Tunnel to Arkansas River Basin since May 24, 1935. Prior to 2014, annual mean discharge for years 1965-2013 was adjusted to include Twin Lakes Tunnel diversions.
