LOCATION - Lat 38°31'45", long 107°38'54" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.10, T.49 N., R.7 W., Montrose County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 14020002, on left bank 0.4 mi downstream from east portal of Gunnison Tunnel, 4.7 mi downstream from Crystal Creek, and 12 mi northeast of Montrose.
DRAINAGE AREA - 3,971 mi².

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS

Apr. 9, 1905 to Aug. 20, 1915, nonrecording gage at site 300 ft upstream from diversion dam at east portal of Gunnison Tunnel, at different datum. Aug. 21, 1915 to Jan. 19, 1943, nonrecording gage at site 500 ft downstream from diversion dam at east portal of Gunnison Tunnel, at different datum. Jan. 20, 1943 to Sept. 30, 1956, water-stage recorder at present site at datum 1.0 ft higher.

Prior to 2014, Gunnison Tunnel diversion data was provided by Colorado Division of Water Resources.
