LOCATION - Lat 38°56'35", long 107°21'07" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 sec.08, T.13 S., R.89 W., Gunnison County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 14020004, in gate house of Paonia Dam on Muddy Creek, 16 mi east of Paonia.
DRAINAGE AREA - 257 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR CO-92-2; 1988-91.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 1961 to September 1987, October 2017 to current year. Monthend active contents provided by U. S. Bureau of Reclamation from December 1961 to September 1987. Extremes for period of record are subsequent to 1987. REMARKS - Reservoir is formed by an earthfill dam. Storage began in December 1961; dam completed January 1962. Capacity, 15,977 acre-ft between elevation 6,290.0 ft streambed at dam, and 6,447.5 ft, crest of spillway. Dead storage below elevation 6,358.0 ft, 424 acre-ft. Inactive storage below elevation 6362.0 ft, 560 acre-ft. Figures published prior to 1988 water year are active contents; figures given beginning 1988 water year are live contents.
