LOCATION - Lat 38°10'40", long 107°45'28" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in sec.04, T.45 N., R.8 W., Ouray County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 14020006, on right bank 20 ft downstream from county road bridge, 1.5 mi upstream from mouth, and 1.5 mi northwest of Ridgway.
DRAINAGE AREA - 97.2 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1924: 1960. WDR CO-88-2: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1922 to October 1927, October 1955 to September 1971, October 1979 to current year.
GAGE - Water stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 6,980 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Mar. 1, 1922 to Oct. 31, 1927, nonrecording gage at different datum.
REMARKS - Water year 2014; records good except for the period Feb. 11 to Apr. 22, which is fair, and estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2015; records fair except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Water year 2016; records fair except for flows above 170 ft³/s, and estimated daily discharges, which are poor.
