LOCATION - Lat 38°59'00", long 108°27'00" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.14, T.2 S., R.1 E., Mesa County, CO, Hydrologic Unit 14020005, on right bank 180 ft upstream from bridge on State Highway 141, 0.4 mi downstream from Whitewater Creek, 0.5 mi south of Whitewater, and 8 mi southeast of Grand Junction.
DRAINAGE AREA - 7,923 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR-US-2011: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1894 to December 1895 (gage heights only), October 1896 to September 1899, October 1901 to October 1906 (published as "at Whitewater"), October 1916 to current year. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1313.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gages. Datum of gage is 4,628.12 ft above NGVD of 1929. See WSP 1733 or 1924 for history of changes prior to October 1959.
