LOCATION - Lat 40°35'20", long 109°37'20" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.01, T.3 S., R.20 E., Uintah County, UT, Hydrologic Unit 14060002, on right bank 1.25 mi upstream from head of Utah Power & Light Co.'s canal, 4.5 mi upstream from Dry Fork, and 10 mi northwest of Vernal.
DRAINAGE AREA - 100 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1941 to September 1945, June 2013 to October 2015 (discontinued).
GAGE - Water stage recorder. May 1941 to September 1945, water stage recorder at different datum.
REMARKS - Trans basin diversion since July 1940 from Oaks Park Reservoir on Big Brush Creek, capacity, 6,250 acre-ft, to Ashley Creek basin for irrigation. Records are fair except for estimated periods which are poor.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 1,400 ft³/s, May 13, 1941, gage height, 4.50 ft, site and datum then in use, from rating curve extended above 860 ft³/s; minimum recorded, 0.32 ft³/s Feb 27, 2015.
