09272400 GREEN RIVER AT OURAY, UTAH
LOCATION - Lat 40°05'05", long 109°40'34" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in sec.32, T.8 S., R.20 E., Uintah County, UT, Hydrologic Unit 14060001, located on the left bank of the river at the Highway 88 bridge, 0.3 miles south of Ouray, UT, 0.15 miles upstream of the confluence with the Duchesne River, 2.0 miles upstream of the confluence with the White River, and 66.9 river miles downstream from USGS stream gage 09261000 (Green River near Jensen, UT).
DRAINAGE AREA - 31,060 mi² of which 4,260 mi² probably is noncontributing.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2009 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 4,634.74 ft. above NAVD of 1988 from a Level II GNSS survey conducted on September 26, 2023.
REMARKS - Records good except for estimated periods which are poor. Considerable regulation of flow by Flaming Gorge Reservoir, capacity 3,788,190 acre-feet.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 28,600 ft³/s, Jun 13, 2011, gage height, 26.97; minimum daily discharge, 878 ft³/s, Jul 18, 2021.
