LOCATION - Lat 39°46'28", long 111°11'25" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.18, T.12 S., R.7 E., Carbon County, UT, Hydrologic Unit 14060007, on right bank, 0.8 mi. upstream from bridge, 1.2 mi. downstream from French Creek, and 4.5 mi. north of Scofield, UT.
DRAINAGE AREA - 60.1 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR UT-77-1: Drainage area. WDR UT-88-1: 1987.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June to October 1931, April to September 1932, October 1938 to current year. Published as Price River above Scofield Reservoir, near Scofield, October 1938 to September 1967.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 7,636.11 ft above NAVD of 1988, from Level 2 GNSS survey done on June 26, 2023, by U.S. Geological Survey personnel. June 1931 to September 1932, and October 1938 to July 27, 1967, at various sites about 0.5 mi downstream at different datums.
REMARKS - Records generally good except for estimated daily discharges, which are fair to poor. Small transmountain diversions in headwaters for irrigation in Sevier Lake basin.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 1,450 ft³/s, May 21, 1984, gage height, 6.20 ft; minimum recorded, 0.0 ft³/s, Oct. 28, 29, Dec. 3, 1960.
