LOCATION - Lat 39°43'18", long 111°09'38" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.05, T.13 S., R.7 E., Carbon County, UT, Hydrologic Unit 14060007, on left bank 1.3 mi upstream from mouth, 0.1 mi below Winter Quarters Canyon, 0.2 mi upstream from Scofield.
DRAINAGE AREA - 29.1 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1978 to September 1986. October 1990 to current year. Formerly published as "Pleasant Valley Creek below Winter Quarters Canyon, at Scofield."
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 7,703.91 ft above NAVD of 1988, from a Level 2 GNSS survey conducted on August 8, 2023 by U.S. Geological Survey personnel.
REMARKS - Records generally good except for estimated daily discharges, which are fair to poor. Flows are affected by water pumped from Skyline Mine.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 389 ft³/s, May 21, 1984, gage height, 3.30 ft; minimum discharge, 0.57 ft³/s, Feb 26, 2022.
