LOCATION - Lat 33°13'45.1", long 108°15'54.9" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.26, T.12 S., R.14 W., Catron County, NM, Hydrologic Unit 15040001,

on left bank at Canyon Dweller pedestrian bridge, 1.55 river miles upstream from the confluence with the Middle Fork Gila River, and 6.6

river miles upstream from the confluence with the East Fork Gila River.

DRAINAGE AREA - 109 mi².  
REVISIONS HISTORY - Prior to April 23, 2025 the datum of the gage was 5697 ft above NAVD88 (determined via DEM).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2016 to current (daily mean discharges less than 700 ft³/s).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder with satellite telemetry and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 5682.47 ft above NAVD88 as determined by a GNSS Level II rapid-static survey performed by the USGS on March 21, 2024.
REMARKS - Water year 2021; records fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Water year 2022; records good.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Water years 2017-2018; records fair, except for discharges greater than 390 ft³/s and estimated discharges, which are rated poor. Water years 2019-2020; records good except for estimated discharges, which are poor.
