The gage is on the Leslie Canyon National Wildlife Refuge, managed by the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 5,200 ft³/s Sept. 1, 1994, gage height, 9.00 ft, from rating curve extended above 12 ft on basis of slope-area measurements of peak flow at gage height 7.33 ft and 8.54 ft; no flow for many days in some years.
