GAGE - Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, and natural cobble riffle since Dec. 2019. Elevation of gage is 2,400 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to Dec. 2019, water-stage recorder and concrete scour limiter at site 1.4 mi upstream at different datum.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 1,750 ft³/s, Aug. 17, 1983, gage height, 3.33 ft, on basis of slope-conveyance study of peak flow, maximum gage height, 6.40 ft, Jan. 25, 1969; no flow for many days in some years.
