LOCATION - Lat 37°45'07", long 119°08'25" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Mono County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18090101, unsurveyed, in Inyo National Forest, in valve house, 100 ft downstream from left abutment of dam, on Rush Creek, and 4.0 mi southwest of town of June Lake.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1990 to current year. Unpublished records prior to October 1990 available in files of Southern California Edison Co.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is NGVD of 1929 (levels by Southern California Edison Co.).
COOPERATION - Records collected by Southern California Edison Co., under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey, in connection with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission project no. 1389.
REMARKS - Reservoir is formed on natural lake by concrete dam completed in 1916. Contents based on capacity table dated Sept. 1, 1981. Usable capacity, 17,798 acre-ft, between elevations 8,964.33 ft, invert of outlet, and 9,053.64 ft, crest of upper spillway. Figures given represent usable contents at 2400 hours. Water is used for power development downstream.
