LOCATION - Lat 38°11'31", long 119°12'33" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.22, T.4 N., R.25 E., Mono County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 16050301, on right bank, 1.25 mi downstream from Clearwater Creek, 3 mi upstream from mouth and 4.25 mi southeast of Bridgeport.
DRAINAGE AREA - 63.6 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Peak gage height and discharge published for 2022 water year were removed on Dec. 18, 2024, because only a partial year of data was collected for the 2022 water year. 
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Oct. 1954 to Sep. 1975, Oct. 2004 to Sep. 2009. Mar. 2022 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 6,700 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
REMARKS - Records fair except for estimated discharges, which are poor. Flow partly regulated by Virginia Lakes and other lakes near headwaters. Diversions are used for irrigating approximately 3,000 acres upstream of the gaging station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 1,300 ft³/s, Dec. 23, 1955, gage height, 8.40 ft, from rating curve extended above 170 ft³/s on basis of slope-area measurement of peak flow; minimum, 1.1 ft³/s, Aug. 18, 1960, Jul. 28, 1961.
