Click to hide Water-Year Summary instructions and information
  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Water years 1972 to current year.
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Oct. 1983 to Sep. 1988; Sep. 1993 to Sep. 1998; Nov. 2000 to current year. WATER TEMPERATURE: Jun. 1972 to Sep. 1977; Jun. 1978 to Sep. 1998; Nov. 2000 to current year. PH: Sept. 2013 to current year.
INSTRUMENTATION - Specific-conductance recorder from Oct. 1983 to Sep. 1988, hourly; Aug. 1993 to Sep. 1998 and Nov. 2000 to current year, four times per hour. Temperature recorder from Jun. 1972 to Sep. 1977, continuous; Jun. 1978 to Feb. 1980, four times per hour; Mar. 1980 to May 1982, two times per hour; Jun. 1982 to May 1990, hourly; Jun. to Oct. 1990, four times per hour; Nov. 1990 to Jul. 1993, hourly; Aug. 1993 to Sep. 1998; Nov. 2000 to current year, four times per hour. Specific Conductance, Temperature from 2000 to 2012 four times per hour. Specific Conductance, Temperature, Stage from Dec. 2012 to Sep. 2013. Specific Conductance, Temperature, Stage, pH from Sep. 2013 to Nov. 2016. Specific Conductance, Temperature from Nov. 2016 to current year.
REMARKS - Instantaneous specific-conductance and water-temperature measurements during a site visit can be slightly outside the range of values recorded during the same day by the water-quality monitor. This presumably is due to fluctuations in conductance and temperature during the interval between periodic monitor recordings. In Apr. 1993, station incorporated into the National Water-Quality Assessment Program (NAWQA) to monitor water-quality conditions in the Truckee River Basin. During period Oct. 2011 to Sep. 2012 two sites were sampled as part of the Nevada Water Science Center's participation of the National Water Quality Assessment (NAWQA) Program. Prior to 2006, samples were collected solely from Truckee River at Clark, Nevada (station number 10350500) as part of NAWQA. During 2006, some samples were collected from Truckee River near Tracy (station number 10350340) and this site can be considered as an associated site to the one described here with respect to water-quality data collected as part of the NAWQA Program. Preliminary analyses of water-quality data collected as part of NAWQA show little, if any, differences in nutrient, chloride, sulfate, pesticide, or suspended-sediment concentrations between the two sites. Due to stream restoration efforts and traffic, after Nov. 7, 2011, sampling as part of the NAWQA was discontinued at this site.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 721 microsiemens/cm at 25°C, Oct. 1, 2016; minimum, 62 microsiemens/cm at 25°C, Feb. 17, 1986. WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum recorded, 29.5°C, Jun. 4, 1977 (temperature presumably higher during period of recorder malfunction in Jun. 1977); minimum, freezing point on several days during winter months of some years.
