LOCATION - Lat 32°46'27", long 116°51'01" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.14, T.16 S., R.1 E., San Diego County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18070304, on the Sloan Ranch truck trail, 0.50 mi from the intersection of Dehesa Road, on the upstream right bank side of bridge, 0.6 mi south of Dehesa, and 2.3 mi southeast of Crest.
DRAINAGE AREA - 131 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2005 to current year. Gage operated from 1913-1916 about 3 mi upstream of the present location as station 11016000 (Sweetwater River near Dehesa). The drainage area at that site was 112 mi².
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 494.68 ft. above NAVD of 1988.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Loverland Reservoir, capacity, 25,387 acre-ft.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 820 ft³/s, Feb. 14, 2019, gage height, 8.15 ft; no flow for many days in most years.
