LOCATION - Lat 33°38'42", long 117°51'37" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Orange County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18070204, in San Joaquin Grant, on right bank, at downstream side of unnamed service road bridge, 0.45 mi upstream from mouth, at Irvine.
DRAINAGE AREA - 5.39 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 2001 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, concrete control, and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 30 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
REMARKS - No diversion upstream from station. Slight regulation from small storage reservoir upstream from station. Irrigation return flow can cause low-flow fluctuations in discharge at times.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 3,710 ft³/s, Oct. 27, 2004, gage height, 14.89 ft, from rating curve extended above 200 ft³/s, on basis of critical-depth computation; no flow at times in some years.
