LOCATION - Lat 33°53'16", long 117°55'32" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.28, T.3 S., R.10 W., Orange County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18070106, on right bank, 0.2 mi downstream from Brea Dam, and 1 mi north of Fullerton.
DRAINAGE AREA - 21.6 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1041: 1944 (instantaneous maximum discharge). WSP 1635: 1956, 1958. WSP 1928: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1942 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 200 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to Dec. 4, 1964, at datum 1.03 ft higher.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Brea Flood-Control Reservoir, capacity, 4,000 acre-ft. No diversion upstream from station. Since August 1966, low flow mostly the result of irrigation wastewater from golf course 0.8 mi upstream. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily discharge, 1,990 ft³/s, Oct. 20, 2004, gage height, 7.63 ft; no flow for parts of some years.
