LOCATION - Lat 35°47'19", long 121°05'34" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.03, T.25 S., R.8 E., San Luis Obispo County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18060005, on left bank, just downstream from Sapaque Creek, and 1.4 mi south of Bryson.
DRAINAGE AREA - 162 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR CA-82-2: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1971 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 812.04 ft above NAVD of 1988.
REMARKS - No storage or diversion upstream from station. See schematic diagram of Salinas River Basin available from the California Water Science Center.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 57,600 ft³/s, Jan. 14, 1993, gage height, 32.14 ft, from rating curve extended above 7,900 ft³/s, on basis of slope-area measurement at gage height 32.00 ft, maximum gage height, 36.28 ft, Jan. 09, 2023; no flow for many days in each year.
