11274538 Orestimba Creek at River Road, near Crows Landing, CA
LOCATION - Lat 37°24'49", long 121°00'54" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Stanislaus County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18040002, in Orestimba Grant, on right bank, 0.8 mile upstream from San Joaquin River, 1.7 miles northeast of Crows Landing, and 3.4 miles southeast of Patterson.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1992 to October 18, 2017 (discontinued). Stage-only gage from October 19, 2016 to October 18, 2017.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 65 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
REMARKS - Flows during summer and fall consist mainly of return water from irrigated areas. During major storm events record can be affected by backwater from the San Joaquin River.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 2,650 ft³/s, Mar. 10, 1995, gage height, 18.40 ft, from rating curve extended above 2,470 ft³/s, maximum gage height, 19.60 ft, Jan. 23, 1997 (backwater from San Joaquin River); no flow for many days during most years.
