11295240 Utica Canal at Pressure Tap, near Hathaway Pines, CA
LOCATION - Lat 38°11'33", long 120°21'14" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.17, T.4 N., R.15 E., Calaveras County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18040010, in Stanislaus National Forest, at pressure tap in Collierville Tunnel, 0.5 mi upstream from Hunter Reservoir, and 0.5 mi east of Hathaway Pines.
REVISIONS HISTORY - 2013. Data for the 2013 WY was not received in time to be published in the 2013 Annual Data Report and is not available in Water-Year Summary format. Daily values may be retrieved at http://waterdata.usgs.gov.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1989 to current year.
GAGE - Acoustic-velocity meter. Elevation of gage is 3,160 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
COOPERATION - Records were collected by Utica Water & Power Authority, under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey, in connection with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission project no. 2019.
REMARKS - Flow is diverted into Collierville Tunnel at McKays Point Reservoir (stations 11295250 and 11295260) and enters canal through pressure tap in the tunnel. See schematic diagram of Stanislaus River Basin available from the California Water Science Center.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily discharge, 89 ft³/s, Oct. 17, 1989; no flow for many days in most years.
