LOCATION - Lat 38°37'43", long 119°56'24" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.18, T.9 N., R.19 E., Alpine County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18040012, 9.0 mi southeast of Kirkwood, and 9.7 mi southwest of Markleeville.
DRAINAGE AREA - 2.61 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2005 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 8,150 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
COOPERATION - Records were collected by Pacific Gas and Electric Co., under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey, in connection with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission project no. 137.
REMARKS - Records not computed for winter months. Lake is formed by a rock and earth-fill dam; storage began in 1881. Contents based on capacity table dated Oct. 1, 1997. Capacity between gage heights 0.0 and 29.0 ft, 7,580 acre-ft. Released water is used downstream for power generation.
