11413517 North Yuba River Low Flow Release below New Bullards Bar Dam, CA
LOCATION - Lat 39°23'26", long 121°08'36" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.25, T.18 N., R.7 E., Yuba County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18020125, on right bank 0.2 mi downstream from dam, and 2.7 mi northwest of North San Juan which is on State Highway 49.
DRAINAGE AREA - 489 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2004 to current year (low-flow records only).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and sharp-crested low-water control. Elevation of gage is 1,350 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
COOPERATION - Records provided by Yuba County Water Agency, under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey, in connection with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission project 2246.
REMARKS - No records computed above 10.0 ft³/s. Flow regulated by New Bullards Bar Reservoir (station 11413515) since 1969. Prior to 1969, flow regulated by Bullards Bar Reservoir (usable capacity, 31,500 acre-ft). New Colgate Powerplant (station 11413510) diverts at New Bullards Bar Dam 0.2 mi upstream. Water is diverted to Feather River Basin through Slate Creek Tunnel (11413250). Camptonville Tunnel (station 11409350) diverts water from Middle Yuba River to New Bullards Bar Reservoir. Prior to October 2004, data published with New Bullards Bar Reservoir spillway as North Yuba River below New Bullards Bar Dam (station 11413520).
