LOCATION - Lat 39°24'43", long 120°38'34" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.20, T.18 N., R.12 E., Nevada County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18020125, in Tahoe National Forest, on outlet structure on Lower Lindsay Lake Dam, and 5.5 mi southeast of Graniteville.
DRAINAGE AREA - 0.91 mi².
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1999 to current year. Unpublished records for water years 1966-99 available in the files of the U.S. Geological Survey.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder.  Elevation of gage is 6,236 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to October, 2016, nonrecording gage at same site and datum. 
COOPERATION - Records were collected by Pacific Gas and Electric Company, under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey, in connection with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission project no. 2310.
REMARKS - Records not collected during the winter months.  Lake is formed by earth-fill dam completed in 1870. Contents based on capacity table dated April 1965. Usable capacity, 272 acre-ft, between gage heights 0.0 ft, invert of outlet valve, and 10.9 ft, crest of spillway. Figures given represent usable contents.
