LOCATION - Lat 39°24'43", long 120°38'54" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.20, T.18 N., R.12 E., Nevada County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18020125, in Tahoe National Forest, on right bank above YMCA bridge, 0.2 mi downstream of Lower Lindsay Lake, and 5.5 mi east of Graniteville.
DRAINAGE AREA - 0.91 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1988 to current year (low-flow records only). Unpublished records for water years 1965-88 available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and V-notch sharp-crested weir. Elevation of gage is 6,130 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to October 2013 at site 0.2 mi upstream. October 1965 to August 1988, non-recording gage at various datums.
COOPERATION - Records were collected by Pacific Gas and Electric Co., under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey, in connection with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission project no. 2310.
REMARKS - Records not computed for winter months or above 1.2 ft³/s. Low and medium flow regulated by Lower Lindsey Lake, capacity, 272 acre-ft. Spillway flows bypass this station. See schematic diagram of South Yuba River Basin available from the California Water Science Center.
