114296005 Gerle Creek Low Flow Release below Gerle Reservoir, near Meeks Bay, CA
LOCATION - Lat 38°57'58", long 120°23'34" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.15, T.13 N., R.14 E., El Dorado County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18020128, inside the dam on Gerle Reservoir, 4.0 mi southwest of Loon Lake, and 15.2 mi southwest of Meeks Bay.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - February 2013 to current year.
GAGE - Acoustic-velocity meter. Elevation of gage is 5,210 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
COOPERATION - Records were collected by Sacramento Municipal Utility District, under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey, in connection with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission project no. 2101.
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Gerle Reservoir. Most of the water is diverted at this reservoir to Robbs Peak Powerplant (station 11429300). See schematic diagram of Middle Fork American and Rubicon River Basins available from the California Water Science Center.
