11434900 Lake Aloha near Phillips, CA
LOCATION - Lat 38°51'36", long 120°08'11" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in sec.30, T.12 N., R.17 E., El Dorado County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18020129, Eldorado National Forest, on upstream face of dam at outlet structure, and 4.3 mi northwest of Phillips.
DRAINAGE AREA - 3.36 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 2000 to current year.
GAGE - Seasonal Water-stage recorder from October 1, 2018 to Present. Prior to October 2018 site is a Non-recording gage observed intermittently during the summer months until September 2018. Elevation of gage is 8,116 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
COOPERATION - Records were collected by the El Dorado Irrigation District, under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey, in connection with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission project no. 184.
REMARKS - Reservoir formed by cut stone gravity dam completed in 1917. Contents based on capacity table dated Oct. 28, 1932. Usable capacity, 5,000 acre-ft, between gage heights 5.0 ft and 19.7 ft, spillway. See schematic diagram of South Fork American River Basin available from the California Water Science Center.
