LOCATION - Lat 39°22'00", long 123°07'35" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.31, T.18 N., R.11 W., Mendocino County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18010110, in penstock of powerhouse of Pacific Gas and Electric Co., 1.5 mi southwest of Van Arsdale Dam, and 3.2 mi northwest of town of Potter Valley.

Prior to October 1931, published as "Snow Mountain Water and Power Co.'s Tailrace near Potter Valley." October 1931 to September 1984, published as "Potter Valley Powerhouse Tailrace near Potter Valley."
