LOCATION - Lat 41°55'41", long 122°26'35" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.17, T.47 N., R.5 W., Siskiyou County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18010206, Mt. Diablo Meridian, on left bank, 0.1 mi downstream from Bogus Creek, 0.5 mi downstream from Iron Gate Dam, and 6 mi northeast of Hornbrook.
DRAINAGE AREA - 4,630 mi². approximately (not including Lost River, Butte Creek, or Lower Klamath Lake Basins).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1960 to current year. 
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 2,162.44 ft above NGVD of 1929 (levels by PacifiCorp, formerly Pacific Power and Light Co.).
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Upper Klamath Lake, capacity, 523,700 acre-ft; Iron Gate Reservoir (station 11516510), other smaller reservoirs and diversions upstream from station. Records collected in connection with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) project no. 2082. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 29,400 ft³/s, Dec. 22, 1964, gage height, 13.63 ft, from rating curve extended above 15,000 ft³/s on basis of slope-area measurement of peak flow; minimum daily, 389 ft³/s, Aug. 25-28, 1992.
