LOCATION - Lat 47°11'55", long 122°31'11" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.26, T.20 N., R.2 E., Pierce County, WA, Hydrologic Unit 17110019, on right bank 0.4 mile upstream from mouth, and 4.1 miles northeast of Steilacoom.
DRAINAGE AREA - 6.54 mi². includes 0.68 mi² storm drainage from Flett Creek basin.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Discharge for the period Oct. 19, 2017 to Jan. 5, 2018, was revised on Jan. 23, 2019, based on changes to the gage height, which was painting under a buried orifice at times.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2005 to current year (seasonal records only).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 160 ft above NGVD 1929 (from topographic map).
REMARKS - Some pumping for community use upstream from gage. Flow may be regulated at flood control dam upstream from gage. Excess storm water runoff pumped into Nalley Valley. Low flows supplemented from well in basin. Drainage in basin influenced by urbanization. U.S. Geological Survey satellite telemeter at station. 
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 399 ft³/s Nov. 6, 2006, gage height, 2.44 ft; minimum discharge, 4.3 ft³/s, Dec. 15, 2005, gage height, 0.80 ft.
