LOCATION - Lat 47°11'49", long 122°14'59" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.26, T.20 N., R.4 E., Pierce County, WA, Hydrologic Unit 17110014, on downstream side of bridge, 0.5 mi upstream from White (Stuck) River, 1.0 mile northeast of Puyallup and at mile 10.6.
DRAINAGE AREA - 443 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Gage height and discharge for the period Oct. 1, 2020 to Nov. 11, 2020 were revised on May 11, 2022, based on changes to the applied gage height corrections.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2010 to current year (seasonal record).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is NGVD of 1929.
REMARKS - Water diverted and returned upstream by Puget Power for power generation. No other regulation. Since 1912 the City of Tacoma pipeline diversion from Green River has released water into Puyallup River 0.5 mi east of McMillin. Since 1990 releases have been minimal. U.S. Geological Survey satellite telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 33,700 ft³/s Dec. 9, 2015, elevation, 47.19 ft; minimum discharge, 385 ft³/s Oct. 25, 2015, elevation, 31.45 ft.
