12098920 WHITE RIVER FLUME AT BUCKLEY, WA
LOCATION - Lat 47°10'11", long 122°00'39" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.16, T.19 N., R.8 W., Pierce County, WA, Hydrologic Unit 17110014, on right bank 0.3 mi downstream from diversion dam and 0.9 mi northeast of Buckley.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - February 1913 to September 1938 (monthly runoff only, published in WSP 1316), October 1981 to September 2004, October 2004 to September 2005 (gage height only), August 2010 to current year. Records for September 1958 to September 1981 available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey. Published as "near Buckley" prior to October 1961 and as "Canal at Buckley" October 1961 to September 2005.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is at 661.8 ft above NAVD 88, from GNSS RTK Level 2 survey, March 13, 2018.
REMARKS - Flow completely regulated at White River diversion dam 0.3 mi upstream from gage. U.S. Geological Survey satellite telemeter at station.

  • Water Year 2015: Records good except estimated daily discharges and flows below 40 ft³/s, which are poor.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily discharge, 2,340 ft³/s, Dec. 17, 2001; no flow on many days during some years.
