LOCATION - Lat 48°56'20", long 122°28'40" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.19, T.40 N., R.3 E., Whatcom County, WA, Hydrologic Unit 17110004, on right bank on downstream side of Front Street bridge, and at mile 2.9.
DRAINAGE AREA - 37.8 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1998 to current year.
GAGE -

Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 48.94 ft. above North American Vertical Datum 1988, (GNSS survey)  and 54 ft. above National  Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (topographic map).

REMARKS - Small diversions for irrigation upstream from station.
  • Water Year 2014: Records good except for Oct. 1 to 23, which are fair and estimated daily discharges, which are poor.
  • Water Year 2015: No estimated daily discharges. Records fair.
  • Water Year 2016: No estimated daily discharges. Records fair except for Oct. 27 to 31 and Nov. 1 to 2, 19 to 25, which are poor.
  • Water Year 2017: Records fair except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor.
  • Water Year 2018: No estimated discharges. Records good except for Oct. 1 to Nov. 30 and April 18 to Sept. 30, which are fair.
  • Water Year 2019: Records good except for Oct. 1 to Nov. 5 and May 22 to Sept. 30, which are fair and estimated discharges, which are poor.
  • Water Year 2020: Records good except for Oct. 1 to April 15, which are fair.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 1,190 ft³/s, Jan. 8, 2009, gage height, 9.13 ft; minimum daily discharge, 1.6 ft³/s, Aug. 20, 2004.

  • Water Year 2015: WATER TEMPERATURE records excellent except for Apr. 7-25, which are good. No record Nov. 4-13, Apr. 4-6 and April 27-28.
  • Water Year 2016: WATER TEMPERATURE records good.
  • Water Year 2017: WATER TEMPERATURE records excellent except for Dec. 5 to Aug. 7, which are good.
  • Water Year 2018: WATER TEMPERATURE records excellent except for April 18 to June 12, which are good.
  • Water Year 2019: WATER TEMPERATURE records excellent except for Oct. 31 to Nov. 21, which are poor. No record Oct. 20-21 and Oct. 31 to Nov. 10.
  • Water Year 2020: WATER TEMPERATURE records excellent except for Dec. 10 to Jan. 28 and March 4-18, which are good.
