May to July 1904, October 1927 to March 1928 (elevations only), October 1924 to September 1927 (gage heights only) in reports of Water Survey of Canada, Department of Environment. Starting in water year 2014, daily mean discharge values are presented only for the discharge measured at 12322000. Prior to water year 2014, the daily mean discharge values represented the total discharge passing the international boundary, which included inflows from Boundary Creek. Total discharge passing the international boundary is now available under station 12322001.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and acoustic doppler velocity meter. Datum of gage is 1,700.00 ft above Topographic Division Datum of 1928. NGVD of 1929 and datum of Geodetic Survey of Canada are 0.03 ft higher (NAVD88 is 3.896 ft higher). Prior to May 17, 1928, non recording gages at approximately same site. Datum of gages prior to July 28, 1928, 38.34 ft higher, except in 1904 when different datum was used. Prior to March 27, 1996, at site 1,500 ft downstream at same datum.

WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous water temperature data were collected Jan. 1949 to Sept. 1950, Sept. 1963 to current year.
REMARKS - Numerical uncertainty is not currently computed for time-series water-quality records but qualitative ratings are provided based on professional judgment.
  • Water Year 2014: Quality of water-temperature records good.
  • Water Year 2015: Quality of water-temperature records good.
  • Water Year 2016: Quality of water-temperature records good.

  • The practice of using qualitative ratings to describe data accuracy was discontinued in Water Year 2017.
  • EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 23.5 °C July 27, 1975, July 29-31, 1988; minimum, 0.0 °C many days during winter months.
