LOCATION - Lat 46°11'04.45", long 113°30'05.65" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.17, T.5 N., R.15 W., Granite County, MT, Hydrologic Unit 17010202, on left bank 40 ft downstream from bridge on county highway, 1.2 mi upstream from East Fork, 3.4 mi upstream from West Fork, and 15 mi southwest of Philipsburg.
DRAINAGE AREA - 121 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Discharge for the period May 16, 2023 to May 22, 2023 was revised on Jan. 11, 2024, based on reevaluation of previously estimated periods.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1937 to current year (no winter records in water year 2007). Monthly discharges only from January to March 1938 are published in Water Supply Paper 1316.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 5,444.08 ft, referenced to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to Oct. 25, 1990, gage located at several sites 0.8 to 1.0 mi downstream. See WSP 1736 or 1933 for history of changes prior to Oct. 1, 1955. U.S. Geological Survey data collection platform with satellite telemetry at the station.
REMARKS - A few small diversions for irrigation occur upstream from station.
