LOCATION - Lat 47°46'52", long 117°29'43" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 sec.03, T.26 N., R.42 E., Spokane County, WA, Hydrologic Unit 17010308, on right bank on downstream side of county bridge, 4 mi west of Dartford, l.5 mi north of Spokane city limits, and at mile 3.9.
DRAINAGE AREA - 698 mi².

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1948 to March 1952, October 1997 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 1,550 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to October 1997, in center of stream on downstream side of highway bridge, at unknown datum.
REMARKS - No regulation. Many small diversions for irrigation and domestic use upstream from station.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of Mar. 22-23, 1997, reached a discharge of 4,380 ft³/s based on comparison with records for Little Spokane River at Dartford (12431000), stage not determined.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 3,380 ft³/s, March 19, 2017, gage height, 10.56 ft; minimum discharge, 309 ft³/s, Aug. 18 and 20, 2023, gage height, 4.53 ft.
