LOCATION - Lat 47°50'15", long 120°39'40" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 sec.13, T.27 N., R.17 E., Chelan County, WA, Hydrologic Unit 17020011, on right bank 0.75 mi upstream from Goose Creek, 5.3 mi north of Plain, 6.2 mi upstream from mouth, 11 mi northeast of Chiwaukum, and at mile 6.2.
DRAINAGE AREA - 170 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1316: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1911 to April 1912, July 1913 to October 1914, August 1936 to November 1949, September 1954 to September 1957, May 1991 to current year. Prior to October 1914 published as Chiwawa Creek near Leavenworth.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 2,100 ft above NGVD of 1929 (from river-profile map). May 29, 1911, to Oct. 31, 1914, staff gage at site 3 mi downstream at different datum.
REMARKS - No regulation or diversion upstream from station. U. S. Geological Survey satellite telemeter at station.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Peak Nov. 25, 1990, was 6,810 ft³/s, gage height, 9.26 ft, from rating curve extended beyond highest measurement of 5,570 ft³/s.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 7,030 ft³/s, Nov. 30, 1995, gage height, 9.36 ft; minimum daily discharge, 45 ft³/s, Feb. 25, Mar. 2-5, 1993.
