LOCATION - Lat 43°10'06", long 112°20'05" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in sec.11, T.3 S., R.35 E., Bingham County, ID, Hydrologic Unit 17040207, Blackfoot quad., on Watson Road, 0.4 mi east of Jim Road, and at southeast edge of Blackfoot.
DRAINAGE AREA - 1,295 mi², including that of Sand Creek, the flow of which is diverted to the Blackfoot River through the Idaho Canal.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 2010 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 4,493.14 feet above NAVD 1988 (USGS).
REMARKS - Flow regulated by Blackfoot Reservoir. Diversions above station for irrigation of about 28,000 acres below and about 32,000 acres above station, of which about 900 acres are irrigated by withdrawals from groundwater (1966 determination). Part of flow is supplied by waste water from Snake River canals.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 1,080 ft³/s May 28, 2019, gage height 6.93 ft; minimum, 0.0 ft³/s on several days, several years.
