LOCATION - Lat 42°03'49", long 113°27'05" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in sec.05, T.16 S., R.26 E., Cassia County, ID, Hydrologic Unit 17040210, Chokecherry Canyon quad., U.S. Bureau of Land Management lands, on right bank 0.9 mi upstream from county road crossing, 0.2 mi upstream from Onemile Creek, and 17 mi southwest of Malta.
DRAINAGE AREA - 409 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1946 to December 1953, May 1955 to June 1971, published as "at Peterson Ranch, near Bridge"; October 1975 to May 1984, equivalent records (except for unusually heavy rainstorm runoff from Onemile Creek drainage), published as "below Onemile Creek" (station 13078205), December 1984 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 4,952.99 feet above NAVD 1988 (USGS). From October 1975 to May 1984, at site 0.9 mi downstream at datum then in use.
REMARKS - Diversions above station for irrigation of about 16,000 acres (1966 determination).
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 2,250 ft³/s Jan. 14, 1980, gage height, 8.20 ft, from rating curve extended above 70 ft³/s on basis of slope area measurement; maximum gage height, 11.55 ft Feb. 9, 2017; no flow part of each day, Sept. 5, 6, 1988, May 5, Aug. 13, 14, Sept. 26, 1992, Aug. 16-22, 2020, July 15-18, Aug. 7-27, 2021, and Aug 27-Sept 10th, 2022, July 27-30, August 17-19 and September 1-3 2023.
